Please review the content of this Newsletter for details and share this with others at your organization using FocusAgent!

“Nice View”

Enhancements changing the method for switching between Input, Forms & Issues have recently been completed. The ability to easily move between these three functionalities remains a top priority. The three windows can still be layered on one another although the locations used to trigger the view switch have been relocated.

In looking at the illustration, note the visibility of the form and how it is the primary view. While the inputs (tan and black) and the issues (tan and white) windows aren’t at the forefront, they are tucked behind the form.

In the example, access inputs by clicking on the Input bar above the frame which encompasses the form. Or bring the Issues forward by clicking on the Issues bar found above the form and the Input bar. Please note that from the Input or the Issues view, the form can be made the primary view by clicking on the form name in the primary form list or by clicking the green reference to the form name which runs vertically down its left side.

As the file is reviewed and the various views are visited, these windows will continue to stack in the order they were loaded. Continue to switch between them as many times as needed.

Form Guided Data Entry

Whether a Loan Officer wants to see only the data entries related to a specific field on the Application or a Loan Processor just needs to fix ‘that one thing’, completing data entry directly from a form is an important part of the flexibility in FocusAgent. The use of a left click from a document can eliminate the hassle of sorting through lots of questions in order to find the only one that’s important for that field.

Previously, utilizing a form for data entry would cause all of the Inputs to be loaded and the cursor to be placed in the data entry section where required by the field accessed. In the newest version of FocusAgent, a left click will continue to provide the Input window but will narrow the list of questions presented down to one or more related fields.

As shown below, a left click on the Primary Employer from the Application presents the data entries for the Primary Employer only. Note that in this environment, the “show all” option at the top of the Input is not marked indicating that the list of data entries is restricted. When in this environment, simply click “show all” in order to bring all questions back into view.

Creative Thinking is continually improving the fields on all forms so that when clicked, the appropriate data entries are found and presented. Remember, even when a form may not take you where you need to go, the Input Stack never fails!

Form Specialized Input

Form specialized inputs are fields which are unique to the form they are on. These types of fields are not part of the one-time data entry model in which information is entered and carried throughout the file to multiple forms. Using a form specialized input requires access to the form and the question to be answered.

Utilizing a form specific field in previous versions of FocusAgent loaded the Inputs and placed the cursor on that field in a separate section at the bottom of all other questions titled “Form Based Input”. In the newest version of FocusAgent, any field specific only to a given form will allow for data entry directly on the form without a redirection to the Inputs, a streamlined and straight forward process!

In the example provided, the Date field is a date specific to this form only and is not tied to anything else in the loan. A left click on it presents a simple data box with a red border. Type the necessary information and viola!
